The affiliate marketing network in Asia

Affiliate marketing in Asia is growing. I wouldn't say it's big business or established, but will be the next big thing...perhaps bigger than in the US.

The reason being that the online population in Asia is huge. Something like 90% of all Korean households have the internet whilst in China 20% have internet access, using instant messaging services and email rather than surfing the web.

There are a few China Affiliate Networks that are already establised which promoted affiliate programs like BA, Apple and Newsweek.

Malaysia has a booming affiliate group, with internet millionaires like Kenny Sia and Liew CF, whilst Affiliate Networks like Nuffnang lead the way over there and are growing rapidly.

Places like Singapore and Philipines are slowly developing, but established countries like Hong Kong are at a standstill. I used to live in HK so had a first hand look at the internet scene, it's stagnant and not much going on. There was some fuss years ago about 90% of hacked domains come from Hong Kong, so perhaps that's put people off from investing in the internet scene over there!
